Cannes City Hall proposes the CANNES JARDIN app, and will accompany you as you explore the garden at the Villa Rothschild located at 1 Avenue Jean de Noailles in Cannes. The villa is now home to the Noailles Media library. The mansion and its garden, both classified historical monuments, have a rich history and are a testament to the splendour of the Cannes holiday resort at the turn of the last century.
Using the app, you can explore the garden by choosing one of the three approaches offered:
- The Garden of Yesteryear will take you back in time to 1927, to discover the history of the site through a multimedia tour combining audio tracks and 360° watercolour panoramas.
- The Garden of Today will enable you to explore a selection of remarkable species and constitutes a gateway to the gardens botanical wealth.
- The Playful Garden will introduce young and old alike to the treasures of the garden, through questions about architecture, botany, and history.
The app is aimed at all audiences and will guide you step by step through your exploration, using geolocation, augmented reality, keyword searches, and media content (360° views, audio and video commentary).
"CANNES JARDIN" is an official app from Cannes City Hall.
The development of this app as well as the redevelopment of the garden and the Villa Rothschild were made possible thanks to the European Program, "PC INTERREG V France-Italy ALCOTRA 2014-2020 Project No. 373 JARDIVAL"
